Traditional Swim Lessons
Welcome to Swimming With Jordan!

I look forward to working with your children in the water!  Teaching children the life-saving skills they need so they can be safe AND have fun in the water is a tremendous passion of mine.  Our small group classes have a max of 4 swimmers, with 2 instructors present to provide a 2:1 ratio to maximize your child's ability to make immediate progress with water and safety skills.  Each class is specially designed to pair children of similar ages and abilities to spur on and encourage performance with an increased rate of learning.  Each child receives the individualized attention they need to make consistent progress.  Come join us and see what being a champion swimmer is all about!

Lesson Info

Please note our new location for all Traditional Stroke lessons in Richardson, TX! Your swimmers will enjoy our brand new saltwater heated pool designed to better serve our awesome swim families! Located in the NE Corner Coit & Arapaho.

ALL TRADITIONAL STROKE LESSONS ARE DROP-OFF ONLY

ONE parent may stay and watch the entire lesson on Thursday (“Show Off Day”). For all other days of the week, all parents/siblings/etc must wait outside the gate in their vehicles during the lesson. Please do not allow your children to run around in the yard or street. Social distancing is encouraged, and masks are required by anyone entering the pool area (children entering the water for their lessons do not need to wear a mask). This is for the safety of all swimmers involved. No exceptions.

AGES

When children are a minimum age of 3.5 they may start my stroke lessons, although I highly encourage participation in ISR self-rescue swim lessons prior to beginning stroke lessons. For more information on ISR self-rescue lessons please email j.benners@infantswim.com

LESSON FORMAT

Private Lessons and Semi-Private Lessons are 20 minutes in length (Monday through Thursday) at the same time each day.
Small Group Lessons are 30 minutes in length (Monday through Thursday) at the same time each day.

If inclement weather causes a lesson cancellation, these missed classes are made up on Fridays of that same week
(therefore Friday would become the “Show Off” day that week).

Small Group Lessons have a maximum of 4 swimmers in each class, with 2 instructors present per class. Having 2 instructors during lessons ensures safety of all swimmers, as well as allows us to progress each student individually for enhanced progress. Unlike other swim programs, I will not go above a 2:1 student to instructor ratio as that compromises safety.

You may register for as many weeks as you like, and the weeks do NOT need to be consecutive (a two week minimum is recommended for all children learning to swim).

Recommended age for Small Group traditional stroke lessons is age 3.5 and up. Any child age 6 months through age 6 years can register for our ISR classes for enhanced safety.

If you feel your child will not be comfortable in a small group setting with drop off, a semi-private or private lesson would be recommended as we can make special accommodations on an individual basis.
